Springtime 2026 is Here

Goodbye Winter 2025 and hello Springtime 2026. Entering the new year, we’ve kept ourselves quite busy with the business. The West Brookfield Winter Farmers’ Market has been the pillar for sales for us as well as online pickup and delivery orders. We’ve met so many extraordinary folks both vendors and customers alike, and it felt like a real family; we’ve even made it into the Quaboag Current local newspaper twice. While we’re sad to say goodbye to that market, we certainly hope there’ll be a next time, next winter.

The Spring and Summer are our peak seasons; everybody loves drinking an ice cold glass of organic raw kombucha in the warm sunny weather, and we’re glad to deliver it! We’ll be attending a few local farmers markets including Brimfield, Sturbridge, Worcester, Burncoat, and West Brookfield and others to be announced. Without further ado, let’s talk about our new Springtime 2026 kombucha lineup.

Candied Ginger Peach

Our first Springtime flavor is one I personally enjoy brewing for myself; Candied Ginger Peach. Organic peach juice adds a subtly sweet taste to fermented organic black tea, and organic candied ginger adds a nice punch that adds zings to the finish.

Why these specific flavors? While orange is another fruit that pairs just fine with ginger, I’ve found peach to be an easy sweet and fruity favorite for booch lovers. I’ve also been asked why use organic candied ginger instead of ginger root; the answer is that candied ginger, a combination of cane sugar and ginger root, is superb for flavoring a second fermentation of kombucha. It promotes both carbonation and bolder flavor during the F2 process.

Both subtly fruity and with a zing that gets stronger the further down the bottle one drinks, we’re confident this will be a new favorite this Spring.

Honey Habanero

The next flavor in our Springtime 2026 kombucha lineup is one that brings on the spice. Honey Habanero, a flavored hard spirits I tried from Deep Roots Distillery during one of the Summer farmers markets, and I knew it could work as flavored kombucha. Mildly spicy fresh habaneros synergizes with raw honey to create both a sweet and spicy booch.

I was originally against brewing anything spicy since I myself aren’t interested in many spicy foods, but my opinion has softened over the years and after trying a number of hot ingredients that actually work well in foods. I also hadn’t realized there’s an entire market for people who crave spicy beverages.

One of Eddie’s favorite brews, Honey Habanero is certain to deliver. While we will never encourage alcohol consumption, this flavor does make for a good cocktail mixer. I personally enjoy diluting mine with seltzer.

Cherry Vanilla

The third and final flavor as part of our Springtime 2026 kombucha lineup is Cherry Vanilla. If Candied Ginger Peach delivers zing, Honey Habanero brings on spicy, then cherry vanilla is all about the sweetness. Organic cherry juice adds rich sweetness to organic fermented black tea, and a dash of organic powdered vanilla rounds out the tartness of the cherry.

I’ve often found cherries to be in winter beverages, especially beer. However, cherries are harvested in the middle of May to July, and therefore make the perfect late Spring to Summer booch. While we don’t force carbonate our kombucha, those looking for a more bubbly cherry vanilla booch just need to leave their sealed bottle out at room temperature for 2 to 4 hours for it to develop a little carbonation (warmer leads to faster fermentation, but be aware putting booch back in the fridge will stop the bubbles).

Another fantastic flavor, we hope cherry vanilla stands out among the rest of our new and current lineup.

What’s Leaving

We have to admit, not all of our kombucha flavors stand out. Or rather, not all our booch flavors make rifts all year round. Take Pumpkin Pie for example, a flavor that was widely popular last Autumn. Fall has came and went, and so has nearly everyone’s interest in it. To make room for the new Spring flavors, we’re cutting Maple and Spiced Pumpkin Pie. Doesn’t mean they’re gone for good, but for now we’re looking to drive interest in our new flavors this Spring and Summer.

To reiterate, some of our beloved flavors sell better at different points in the year and within each season; one week Strawberry Rhubarb may be the favorite, the next week Hibiscus Grape may sell better. A flavor of booch one person may love, another may dislike, and that goes for all flavors. There’s even people who like every one of our flavors, and that makes us incredibly happy, but we understand its not always like that.

What’s Remaining

So what still remains? Bucha Bros will still be offering our Strawberry Rhubarb, Hibiscus Grape, Blackberry Lavender, Cranberry Apple Pie, and we’ll be adding Candied Ginger Peach, Honey Habanero, and Cherry Vanilla. We’ll also try to continue our experimental brews once everyone has had a chance to try our new flavors.
