What is Kombucha?
Kombucha is a Fermented Tea made by adding sugar to a black or green tea in the presence of a SCOBY (Symbiotic Culture of Bacteria and Yeast)
While the Kombucha is fermenting, much of the sugar and caffeine in the initial tea mixture is eaten by the SCOBY. After bottling, many of the microbes that make up the SCOBY are still present in the drink, making the drink similar to a probiotic.
